Smart Choice

Due to the unfortunate closing of Angel Food, we were challenged to look for a new food organization to partner with to help bring quality low cost food back to Monmouth. We are pleased to announce our partnership with Smart Choice Food Source. It is our desire thru the Holy Spirit's power to bring life to this community, and one of the way's we can do that is thru Smart Choice.

Food for needy kids!

On September 17, 2011, we will be taking a 36 mile bike ride through the country roads of Warren County. This is a pledge drive to bless needy kids in the community with food, in association with1st Street Armory's Operation Backpack program. For more information contact Jeanette Sage @ (309) 371- 9785

Back To School Outreach

Back to School Outreach: We will be accepting items to be placed in back backs of Children starting Sunday for the next couple of weeks. Such items can be pencils, crayons, etc. There will be a full list on the wall by the Welcome Table this Sunday. Also, we will be partnering with the Jamison Center and The Headquarters to provide needy children with free haircuts. For more info ask Angie.

Paintball

On July 16th we will be having Paintball at RLI, starting at 9:00 am. The cost is $30.00 per person and $35.00 for tournament play. If you are interested in registering or have any questions about this event please call (309) 734-9998.  If no one answers leave a message.

Sheriff's department BBQ

On Friday, May 20, @ 6:00 we will be having a BBQ for the Warren County Sheriff's department. We are doing this to honor them for all they do for our community.  We will be cooking pork steaks. We are asking everyone to help prepare the side dishes. The side dishes we are asking for our potatoe salad, baked beans, and BBQ sauce.  If you have any questions please feel free to call the office for more info. 734-9998

Monmouth Community Ecumenical Lenten Lay Breakfast

If you are interested in being apart of the Community Ecumenical Lenten Lay Breakfast please sign up. The sheet is located on the Welcome Table. We need people to help greet and to serve coffee. What a great way to show Monmouth that there is only one church, one body of Christ.... even though that ONE church is represented in many different local churches, we can work together to win our community for Christ. This event will be on April 15. Breakfast begins at 6:30 and it will be at the Strom Center.
